A complete generator for every network

Keywords extracted from your text

The tool analyses your caption, removes the stop words of your language, counts recurring terms and turns them into clean hashtags. Nothing to type by hand: paste your text and the list builds itself as you type.

Live limit per platform

The gauge tracks the exact number of generated hashtags against the chosen network's limit: green while there is room, orange as you approach it, red once exceeded. Instagram at 30, YouTube at 15, X and TikTok recommendations below that.

Case, accents and deduplication

Lowercase, CamelCase or uppercase: one selector applies the case to the whole selection. The no-accent option adapts your tags to searches typed without accents, and duplicates are removed — the “duplicates avoided” counter shows it.

Private: the analysis stays with you

Everything runs in your browser: your text is never sent anywhere and is only kept in your device's local storage. Ideal for upcoming campaigns, unpublished posts or sensitive drafts.

How it works

Create hashtags in three steps

Paste your text

Your caption, post or bio in the input box — or load the sample to try the tool in a second. Keyword extraction starts on the first keystroke.

Adjust case and network

Choose lowercase, CamelCase or uppercase, turn on “no accents” if needed, then pick the network: its hashtag limit loads into the gauge automatically.

Click and copy

Remove any hashtag with one click, add a batch from any theme. When the gauge is green, copy the selection and paste it into your post.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about the hashtag generator

How do I generate hashtags from a text?
Paste your caption into the tool's box: its keywords are extracted automatically, turned into hashtags, deduplicated and cleaned up. Click a hashtag to remove it, a theme to add more, then copy the selection in one click. The tool runs in your browser, no sign-up.
How many hashtags should I use on Instagram?
Instagram allows up to 30 hashtags per post. Beyond that, the caption stays visible but the algorithm can hurt reach. In practice, 5 to 10 well-chosen hashtags are enough: the tool's selector tracks that limit live, with a gauge turning orange then red.
What is the hashtag limit on YouTube, TikTok and X?
YouTube shows at most 15 hashtags in a video description; beyond that they are ignored. TikTok has no hard limit but recommends 4 to 6 relevant hashtags. X (Twitter) recommends one or two so the message is not diluted — the selector offers these recommendations for each network.
Do uppercase or lowercase hashtags make a difference?
No: hashtags are case-insensitive on every network. However, CamelCase (FirstWordCapitalised) makes compound words easier to read, e.g. #FamilyTrip instead of #familytrip. The format selector applies your choice to the whole selection automatically.
Should hashtags keep their accents?
Most networks handle accents, but many users type #ete instead of #ete, which loses searches. The tool's “no accents” option produces either variant at will, and the case stays free: the key is always the word, never its visual spelling.
Where should hashtags go in a caption?
On Instagram, place them after the caption, separated by spaces or grouped at the end. On X and Threads, weave them naturally into the sentence. On TikTok, one generic hashtag and one niche hashtag work best. The tool shows the total weight of the hashtags so you stay within the network's character limit.
Are the suggested hashtags in my language?
Yes: the text analysis uses the tokenisation rules of your language (accents, Latin, Cyrillic, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Hindi or Arabic characters) and removes that language's stop words. Theme suggestions stay in English, the universal language of hashtags, and are added to your own keywords.
Does the generator work on mobile, and is it private?
Yes: the interface adapts to small screens with the same selectors and gauge. The analysis runs entirely in your browser — your text is never sent anywhere and is only kept locally, making it suitable for campaign drafts or sensitive messages.

Hashtag generator: 2026 limits for every network

Choosing the right hashtags remains one of the fastest ways to get a post discovered. The hashtag generator from Volade turns your text into clean tags — keywords extracted, duplicates removed, case and accents handled — then compares them against the exact limit of your target network, in real time and with no account.

How many hashtags per network in 2026?

Each platform sets its own rule: some impose an absolute maximum, others a recommendation. Here is the current state of play:

NetworkHashtags per postRecommended
Instagram30 (max)5–10
TikTokNo limit4–6
X (Twitter)1–2 maximum1–2
LinkedIn30 (shown)3–5
FacebookNo limit1–3
YouTube15 (shown)3–5
ThreadsNo limit1–2
BlueskyNo limit2–4
Pinterest20 (per pin)4–8
MastodonNo limit2–5

The tool's selector tracks these limits live: the gauge turns orange, then red, as soon as your selection approaches or exceeds the network's maximum.

CamelCase, accents, duplicates: the three hashtag traps

A malformed hashtag gets lost in search. The CamelCase does not change the search (networks ignore case) but visually separates the words: #VoyageEnFamille reads at a glance, #familytrip does not. The accents split searches: some users type “ete” instead of “ete”. And the duplicates — the same mistake pasted twice — waste allowed slots. The generator handles all three at once: a case selector, a no-accent option, and automatic deduplication with a duplicates-avoided counter.

Extract the keywords from your caption

Rather than inventing themes, the tool starts from your own text : it tokenises by your language's rules, removes stop words (articles, conjunctions, overly short words), counts recurring terms and offers them as hashtags. An article written in French yields French tags, a post in Japanese yields Japanese tags — the analysis adapts to Latin, Cyrillic, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Hindi and Arabic scripts.

Where should hashtags go in your post?

On Instagram, hashtags follow the caption or are grouped at the end. On X and Threads, it is better to weave them into the sentence. On TikTok, combine one generic hashtag with one niche hashtag. On any network, the tool's counter shows the total weight of your hashtags in characters: you know whether they still fit the caption limit — 2,200 on Instagram, 280 on X — before you even publish.

A good post combines text that counts (the character counter checks every network) and tags that reach an audience. Once you have copied your hashtags, continue with the related tools below to polish the rest.
