Frequently asked questions

Do my files leave my device?
No. The merger runs entirely in your browser: your PDFs and images are never uploaded, stored or analyzed by our servers. That guarantees total confidentiality, even for sensitive documents.
Can I choose the order of pages before merging?
Yes. Every page of every PDF is shown as a thumbnail. Just drag and drop it to the right position: the final order is that of the thumbnails, top to bottom.
Can I rotate or delete pages?
Yes. Each thumbnail has buttons to rotate a page by 90° (useful for scanned documents) and to remove it from the final document. These actions are applied on the fly, still in your browser.
Can I add images to my PDF?
Yes. Drag PNG, JPG or WebP images alongside your PDFs: each becomes a page of the merged document, in the order it appears in the thumbnail list.
Is there a page or size limit?
The free version lets you merge up to 2 files per batch, with no page or size limit other than your browser's memory. Premium raises the limit to 100 files per batch, to handle large documents and whole folders.
Is it really free?
Yes. The free version lets you merge up to 2 files per batch, without an account or sign-up. Premium removes this limit and unlocks large batches. See pricing.
Is the quality of my PDF preserved?
Yes. The merger assembles the pages as-is, without re-encoding the content: the text, images and layout of your documents are preserved identically. Only the rotations you requested are applied.
How do I preview a page in full size before merging?
Click any thumbnail to open an enlarged preview of the page. Navigate page by page with the arrows or keyboard, read the dimensions and orientation (Portrait/Landscape), rotate the sheet or remove it directly, then close the preview to resume rearranging.
Can I select multiple pages at once?
Yes. Hold Ctrl (or Cmd on Mac) and click to add pages, or click the first then the last with Shift to select a range. You can also type a range like “1-5, 8, 10-14”. Once selected, apply in one gesture a rotation, deletion, duplication, or move them together by dragging.
Can I adjust the page size before merging?
Yes. Choose a target format (A4, A3 or Letter): pages with different dimensions are scaled to match the chosen format, giving a consistent final document for printing.
What merge modes are available?
Three modes: Normal (documents end to end in thumbnail order), Interleave (one page from each document in turn, e.g. A1 B1 A2 B2) and Alternate (complete documents in turn, e.g. A + B + C). You can also enable smart assembly that automatically sorts files by name and fixes the orientation of scanned pages.
Can the merged file be optimized?
Yes. By checking the optimization option, the document is compressed to reduce its output size, with the gain shown as a percentage. You can also fill in title, author, subject and keywords, which are embedded in the final PDF metadata.
How do I log in to my account?
Click “Log in”, enter your subscription email: you reach your Stripe portal to manage your subscription, invoices and payment details.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes, cancel in one click from your account. The subscription stays active until the end of the paid period.
Are my files deleted after use?
Your files are never uploaded: they stay in your browser and are therefore never stored by our servers. Nothing to delete, nothing to clean up — processing is 100% local.

Most online utilities force the original order of your files. Volade does better: every page of every document is shown as a thumbnail and can be moved by dragging. Fix a scanner that mixed up the order, place a cover page at the start, group appendices at the end: the final document reflects exactly what you composed. The 90° rotation straightens sideways scanned pages, and deletion removes unneeded pages in one click.
