What is affiliate marketing on a comparator?
E-commerce affiliation is a commercial partnership: the comparator sends you to an online store; if a purchase is made, the merchant pays the comparator a commission.
On Volade, this model keeps a rich service (EAN, OEM and brand search, filters, alerts, browser extension) without charging end users. We remain an information intermediary: you always buy directly from the merchant you choose.
Impact on the price you pay
The affiliate commission is negotiated between Volade and the partner merchant. It does not appear as an extra line in your basket and must not increase the price shown on the seller's site.
Prices on Volade come from merchant feeds and pages; they may change between your visit and checkout. Always confirm the final amount, promotions and terms on the merchant site before paying.
Editorial independence and ranking
Our job is to help you find the right offer at the right time. Default ranking uses objective criteria: availability, relevance to your search, quality of product data (EAN, references) and merchant reputation when that information is available.
No merchant can buy a permanent "first place" without explicit labelling. Sponsored blocks, media partnerships or highlighted campaigns are marked as "Sponsored" or equivalent, separate from organic sort.
Affiliate links, attributes and compliance
Outbound links to partner stores may be trackable affiliate links (UTM parameters, network IDs). They are tagged for transparency: rel attributes such as sponsored and nofollow where regulation or SEO best practice requires.
This protects users and search engines: you know it is a commercial redirect, and we follow rules on paid content.
Partner networks and merchant selection
Volade works with established affiliate networks (marketplaces, direct merchant programmes) and product feeds from those partners. The list changes by category, country and commercial agreements.
We favour merchants with structured product data (EAN, references, stock) and clear sale terms. A merchant not listed on Volade is not a negative judgement; they may simply not be in our feeds yet.
Personal data and advertising
Volade does not sell your personal data to third-party ad networks. For simple browsing or comparison, partner merchants do not receive your Volade profile.

What Volade is not

Is Volade really free?+
Yes. Using the comparator, search and most tools (favourites, alerts with an account) is free. We are paid by merchant commissions, not user subscriptions.
Does commission change the displayed price?+
No. Commission is a commercial agreement between Volade and the merchant. The price on the store is set by that merchant; always verify before payment as it may change.
How do I spot a sponsored link?+
Paid or partner placements carry a visible label ("Sponsored", "Partner" or similar). Standard result sorting is not sold without that indication.
Do all merchants pay commission?+
No. Some links may be unpaid. A merchant appearing in results does not always mean a commission will be paid.
Does Volade share my data with merchants?+
For simple comparison, no. Only your visit to the merchant site (via the link) is handled under their own privacy policy.
